About Recycling at Work
The Conference of Mayors has two programs to encourage Recycling at work. First is Clean Your Files Day and the other is Toner Cartridge Recycling. Read on below for more information about both programs.

Clean Your Files Day
Clean Your Files Day, or CYFD for short, is a nationwide celebration of recycling. More than 250 cities, business, and organizations participate each year. It is a blueprint for organizing new recycling events. We provide tools, methods, and information to help you with your event. CYFD is catalyst to encourage year-round recycling in cities, businesses, and organizations.  It's a great way for you to reinvigorate existing recycling programs and increases recovery of recyclables and offers you a way to recognize the remarkable recycling achievements made in cities across the country.

Toner Cartridge Recycling
Recycling at Work, a campaign of the National Office Paper Recycling Project, in partnership with four of its sponsors (Canon U.S.A., Inc.; Hewlett-Packard Company; Lexmark International, Inc.; and The Document Company Xerox) has developed a full color brochure on toner cartridge recycling.

The brochure provides information on how to recycle empty toner cartridges, where to recycle the cartridge, what is done with the materials that are returned to the manufacturer, and sponsor companies’ contact information for further inquiries. It is our hope that this brochure will be useful not only to local governments, but also to businesses and organizations in your community.

This brochure is available in PDF and can be printed and distributed in your office or community.
